Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Delora is an online home and living store. This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information when you visit our website, place an order or contact us. It applies to our customers and website visitors. Delora is responsible for this information as the data controller where applicable.

What information do we collect?

Depending on how you use our store, we collect:

  • Contact and account details: your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, and account details or preferences.
  • Order and payment information: items you view or buy, cart activity, payment confirmations, and details of returns or exchanges. Payment providers process your payment information.
  • Information you share with us: enquiries, customer support messages, feedback and product reviews.
  • Device and browsing information: your IP address, browser, device identifiers and how you use our website, including information collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We may use this information to understand your preferences. If you do not provide information needed to process an order or enquiry, we may be unable to fulfil it.

How do we collect it?

We collect information directly from you when you shop, create an account, subscribe to updates or contact us; automatically when you browse our website; and from Shopify and service providers that help operate our store, process payments, deliver orders or provide analytics and advertising services.

Why do we use your information?

We use personal information to:

  • Process payments, deliver your home and living purchases, and manage returns, accounts and customer support.
  • Operate and improve our store, remember preferences and personalise your shopping experience.
  • Send marketing where permitted and measure or tailor advertising.
  • Protect our customers and store from fraud, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on performing our contract with you, meeting legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the store where these do not override your rights, or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Who do we share it with?

We share information with providers that help us run the store, including Shopify, payment providers, fulfilment and delivery partners, and providers of hosting, customer support, reviews, analytics and advertising. We may also disclose information with your permission, to meet legal requirements, protect rights or in connection with a business sale or reorganisation.

Shopify: We use Shopify Network Intelligence and enhanced features, which may use information about your interactions with Delora, other merchants and Shopify to help protect, grow and improve our business and provide relevant advertising. For this processing, Shopify is responsible for handling your information and relevant rights requests. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies and marketing choices

Cookies and similar technologies help our website work, remember your preferences, understand visits and support relevant advertising. Where available, use our cookie banner to manage optional cookies. You can also change your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may affect the store.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in each message. We may still send messages needed for your orders or account.

Some advertising disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under US privacy laws. Where these rights apply, use Do not sell or share my personal information to opt out of this sharing or targeted advertising. We recognise Global Privacy Control signals where required by law; they apply to the browser or device and, where we can associate it, your account. Other “Do Not Track” signals are not recognised.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no online system is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through unsecured channels.

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including fulfilling orders, maintaining accounts, meeting recordkeeping obligations and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.

Information may be stored or processed outside your country. Our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. Contact us for further details about overseas recipients. Where UK law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on recognised mechanisms such as approved contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising disclosures. These rights are subject to applicable legal exceptions.

To make a request, use our contact form. We may need to verify your identity or an authorised agent’s authority. We respond within applicable legal timeframes and do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where available, you may appeal a decision by contacting us.

Our store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information or sell or share information about anyone under 16. A parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion.

Contact us and complaints

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact Delora through our contact form and include “Privacy” in your message. We are based in Sydney, Australia.

We will investigate your concern and respond within applicable timeframes. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator, including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in Australia or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version here, revise the date above and provide additional notice where required.
